the uppermost level of the new acropolis museum turns slightly to align itself with the parthenon. inside, the columns, metopes and sculptures are placed to correspond with their original posiitons, and one can see the parthenon directly through the tall glass.
this shot is from the east, at makrigianni street, as i left, having had a nice coffee with photographer friends at the museum's cafe.
i photographed the museum's interior when it was still possible to do so (they've since restricted photography inside) and wrote up a few thoughts on my blog post here. you can see the view of the acropolis from this shot.
