a picture i didn't take iv

i was driving home -- almost there -- when i swerved to pass under the marousi metro station in northern athens. a blond bun of hair with exquisite design on the crown caught my eye. looking lower i saw an overly tanned face on a woman who was probably younger than she looked. that's when i noticed her bare, skeletal right upper arm. as i drove past, i caught a glimpse of her starved body in profile and images i've seen on the web rained down on my mind's eye.

this is not only a picture i didn't take, it's a picture i wouldn't take.
