lesbians, lesvos and colbert
a few days ago i shared on my google reader the devious diva's report on the ridiculous story out of the greek island of lesvos:

'a court in athens today rejected a law suit from some residents of the island of lesbos that attempted to stop homosexual women from using the word 'lesbian' to define themselves.
three islanders took gay rights group olke, the homosexual and lesbian community of greece, to court to get a ban on anyone except islanders and their descendants using the term lesbian.
the court ruled that they do not have sole claim to the word.'

I think I commented already (somewhere I can't remember), that there's a solution to this problem.
In Greek, they can accent the first syllable.
In English, they can say Lesvian, with a "v" instead of "b".
But, like Colbert said, being gay is a choice, but a lesbian is by birth!
I'd add, many rednecks who are against homosexuality they really mean just the gay men... They don't want the women to get the wrong message and stop what they're doing with each other! :)
I for one have no use for lesbians. For every lesbian, there's one less woman to do me.
Hey, at least I'm honest, unlike most men.
The other other end of things you have this typically male view:
"I'm opposed to homosexuality... unless both women are really hawt!!"
I thought the faith healer bit was the star of the segment.
