You know, i was feeling pretty good about my moon photos being up here on TMT.

And then i saw your fireworks and cctv photos.

So what camera do you use and how did you attempt the High Dynamic Range? I don't know a lot about it, but by bracketing the shot can you in effect get the 3 exposures you need automatically?

πολυ ομορφο, εχει ηχο; η εγω δεν τον ακουω.

of course it has sound.

pat,
you can make hdr images from several raw files or even just one. for these, i bracketed to + & - 2, with a fixed aperture. you should use a tripod and a cable release to guarantee alignment.

i use a canon 350D with an 18-200 sigma lens -- i bought these a couple of years ago but now i'm antsy for something new.

i can hear sound on the blog -- i use firefox. i've asked others to check i.e. and they can hear it just fine.

check your settings.

well i've asked several others since your comment and they can hear it -- so i don't know what it could be.

as for your other question -- of course you can use them but just provide a link to here..

An EOS Rebel?

Antsy for something new? Did you mean a new subject or a new camera? If the latter, what's wrong with this cam?

Can i just say how silly SLR mechanisms are in digital cameras? Luckily the trend seems to indicate that they may be a rarity one day as the two end of the digital market start to overlap each other.
We've been seeing high-end and even superior specs creeping into lower end cams first, before higher cost cams (great ISO range is one example) and at the same time we're seeing some features from the low end slowing bubbling up to the higher-cost cams.

What is i bracketed to "&"? Weird Chinese keyboard there? When i pasted it, it looked like an ampersand.

Anyway if you fixed the aperture how did the Canon change the exposure? Changing the ISO or shutter speed? Or both? I'm guessing the shutter speed alone.

yes i think in the u.s. they call it a rebel. the camera's fine.. i mean lenses. i only have one which i chose for maximum flexibility in most situations but now i'm wanting more on both ends -- telephoto and wide-angle.

anyway, my photos are at best mediocre. i'm told the quality isn't in the camera -- it's in the photographer.

the '&' is the symbol for the word and and you can find it on the shift+7 key, as in i bracketed plus-and-minus-two.

i set my camera to aperture priority and the camera adjusted the shutter speed accordingly. the whole process is executed in three consecutive shots.
